With the PDF format you are required to use the Adobe(R) Acrobat(R)
Reader software to view the files. Reader is a free viewing program
and can be downloaded from Adobe's website or included on the CD.
With HTML you can view the files using any browser. Both of the
most popular browsers--Internet Explorer and Netscape(R) Navigator--are
both offered free in some form.
THE CD-ROM FORMAT
At this date, the CD-Rom format is still the most viable. Although
DVD is now part of the market, currently it is not as widely used
as the CD. Along with that, the DVD industry has still not settled
on a standard that all companies producing DVD-Rewritable media
can agree to. DVD is superior in both storage space, speed and the
ability to handle large graphic files (such as movie and video clips),
but the confusion surrounding a standard prevents it from being
the format choice of the majority of businesses.

can be placed on a CD-Rom.
